My Limeroad.com Scrapbook Look of the Day

My Limeroad.com Scrapbook Look of the Day:

Please allow me to admit, I am a vibrant color person :) Have always been.  Oh well, much respect, admire and have my share of pastels but there's a soft corner for the bright and beautiful.

That said, we have had a few demure days; so, here comes with aplomb: this Purple Passion Look:

In this Look:

This Look is so much me :) Bright purple, strapped wedges, dangler earrings - my wardrobe staples :)  Animal print is still reigning, so there we go.

Did you know what took me the most time in this look? The earrings.  Took a mini eternity of sorts to find a pair that belonged with the look.  Like it? Flaunt it :)

Cheers :)

My Limeroad.com Scrapbook Look of the Day

My Limeroad.com Scrapbook Look of the Day:

In rather subdued humor right now - so came up with a rather subtle, nevertheless classy Look:

In this Look:

1.  Desiweaves Lime Green A-Line Dress

2.  La Briza Multicolored Wedges

3.  Pick Pocket Checked Prints Bag

4.  Accessory Bug Long Charm Necklace with Orange Beads

Like it?

I quite like the interplay of braided wedges and checked bag with a plain dress :) The necklace brings in the color :)

Cheers :)

My Limeroad.com Scrapbook Look of the Day

My Limeroad.com Scrapbook Look of the Day: Lacy Lass:

It's no secret that Lace has been 'in' for a while now; as a perennial lace lover, its natural that I stop by this 'Lacy Lass' Look.

What is unusual though, is the statement necklace I have experimented with, in this look.  A bit of fusion that with the statement necklace, being very oriental, made for ethnic Indian Looks :)

But then, a stylist's licence to experiment is a good one to have, though it comes with the risk of fierce brickbats - the intensity with which brickbats arrive far outplays bouquets though :)  So, let me know how you folks liked this experiment of mine.

Have attempted two things, primarily:

1.  Tone down the dominant bright white (dress) with grey/black and white theme for heels and clutch.

2.  Though pearls would be a natural choice to go with lace as well as the grey/black and white theme, have tried a fusion with a rather offbeat pearl necklace pairing.  The chunky pearl necklace with metallic charms and glass beads lends this otherwise mono toned ensemble the much required and very current 'pop' of color.

In this Look:

Breeze with Lace :)

Let me know your comments!

Cheers :)

My Limeroad.com Scrapbook Look of the Day

My Limeroad.com Scrapbook Look of the Day:

Feeling a bit of a 'Desi Barbie' (yeah, just coined it) today, so we go with a pastel & pink look; fell for the bow accent flats ;)

In this Look:

5.  Addons Pink Ombre Necklace

hmm.. did I just discover 'Desi Barbie Chic' or what? stay cool, stay pink ..

Cheers :)

My Limeroad.com Scrapbook Look of the Day:

Taking the stripes mania down the ethnic route in today's Look:

Smitted? Me too .. love the ethereal stripes getting paired up with geometric jewelry.  Quite an emphatic statement that!

Miss Chase India Launch: "Show Us Your Star Style" Contest: My Entry

Miss Chase UK Fashion just launched in India :)

Miss Chase Blog has come up with this"Show Us Your Style" Contest to coincide with the India Launch.

This is my entry to the Styling contest :) Read on ..

This is a very versatile Miss Chase Mesh Pearl Collar Necklace.  Pearls, by themselves are classic and versatile.  This mesh collar necklace is contemporary chic that is in line with the reigning statement necklace trend.  So, we have a fashionista's and stylist's delight on our hands :)

I decided to style this with Miss Chase Clothing - See the enchanting results:

Note: I had to play with Photoshop a bit to put these looks together, so apologize for the not so accurate pictures of the necklace in the look; request dear readers to pardon this & enjoy the overall spirit of the look :)

Well, collar necklaces usually serve to dress up plain neck outfits, but I decided to play contra here and have dared to team up a collar necklace with a peter pan collar.  hmm.. quite like the results, what say?

2.  Its Stripes Mania as we keep recapitulating in Look after Look, so here is styling this collar necklace with Miss Chase Sassy Stripe Bodycon Dress:

Here again, i am actually going contra, because collar necklaces usually enhance plain outfits - so, daring to style it with this sassy dress:

3.  Now, if we can do it with Stripes, can we not do it with elegant Animal Print? :)

With my all time favorite Zebra Print (my first choice in the Animal Print range) Miss Chase Zebra Print Dress:

Star Crossed already? Get going gals ..

4.  Monochrome Magic next; pearls are oh so made for lace and delicate, feminine silhouettes (yes, peplum :)

With Miss Chase Asymmetric Strap Black Top and the drool worthy Miss Chase Lace Peplum Skirt:

Note: it has been difficult coming up with a perfect photoshop picture of the overall look because I had limited ability with the original available pictures, so apologize for the lack of finesse in the final picture :)

5.  Sheer love next, styling it with a sheer pastel shirt and a striped skirt :)

6.  With 'color of the year' Emerald Miss Chase Sheer Shirt:

7.  With the same shirt's bright pink Samba version:

8.  With Miss Chase Color Block Halter Blouse:

Across the above looks, will be styling each with this pearl accented faux leather clutch bag and delicate gold toned pearl bracelet along with nude toned strap wedges as seen in some of the aforesaid looks (except the peplum skirt which is best styled with black peep toe pumps):

Now, make no mistakes, this mesh pearl collar necklace will be as versatile with Indian Ethnic ensemble ..

9.  I have tried visualizing it on Sonam Kapoor's recent Cannes Red Carpet Look (which I actually thought was incomplete without statement jewelry):

Just see for yourself:

BEFORE:

AFTER:

What's your verdict? I think it completes the statement look :) You? Bouquets or brick bats?  Whatever, thanks much for reading .. leave your comments :)

As a concluding comment, this necklace would be as awesome with a plain tee as a Chikan Embroidered tunic or a statement dress :) Oh so versatile, didn't we say?

Cheers :)

My Limeroad.com Scrapbook Look of the Day

My Limeroad.com Scrapbook Look of the Day:

Feel more a painter artist, less a stylist today, as this Look spontaneously pops outta me; blame it on a Monday and the yearning for some truly Laidback Chic :)

In this Look:

I reckon this is as close as it comes to painting one's way to the closet without an easel and water / oil / fabric colors, so take a cue and paint your blues away!

Cheers :)

My Limeroad.com Scrapbook Look of the Day

My Limeroad.com Scrapbook Look of the Day:

Well, as irony would have it, coming up with a rather smart 'formal week day look' on a Sunday :-D

Inspired by the printed trousers, have put together a peaches-and-cream pastel dominated look around it - absolutely love the final look.  Just can't wait to slip in to it!

Along the way, it also subscribes to the current sheer (the shirt is a sheer shirt, which is why it is a good idea to wear it with a nude or self colored camisole or even better, dress up with a smart jacket), pastel and printed trends ..

In this Look:

In an otherwise complete look, many would wonder if we need the necklace, but the jewellerista in me fell for it and I think it accentuates the pastel look with a delicate, feminine touch :) <3 <3

This look, incidentally, also has many 'go to' investment pieces for the wardrobe, take your pick ..

Cheers :)

My Limeroad.com Scrapbook Look of the Day

My Limeroad.com Scrapbook Look of the Day:

I am experiencing a Stylist's block today (and you thought only writers can experience blocks eh? :)

Color blocking still going strong .. so, that's the inspiration for today's look:

In this Look:

Understated glamour in a fusion of sorts :) And, remember our rule: no neck pieces with one shoulder dresses, just let the neckline be naturally accentuated sans other adornments :)  To offset the lack of neck pieces, make a statement with earrings!

Cheers :)

My Limeroad.com Scrapbook Look of the Day

My Limeroad.com Scrapbook Look of the Day:

hmm.. a 'Pantone Brights' inspired look for today:

In this Look:

The clutch is kept neutral to avoid an Orange obsession in the overall look :)  The Ribbon necklace bridges the 'orange' as well as 'neutral' tones to go with a two tone ballet flat footsemble ;)

Cheers :)
